God of War 2018: News

Sony officially announced the game during the E3 conference in June 2016. The game is set to launch in early 2018 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. For those of you who are not familiar with the game, Kratos the "Ghost of Sparta", is a Spartan warrior who becomes the "Ghost of Sparta" after accidentally killing his family on behalf of Ares' trickery. He becomes the God of War after killing Ares, and is eventually revealed to be a demigod and the son of Zeus.
The upcoming game takes place in the world of Norse mythology, where Kratos finds himself many years after God of War III. Now he has a son named Atreus who he's been teaching survival skills and how to hunt.. Kratos is who his son looks up to and he has vowed to be his protector. Now he must master the rage that has driven him for many years. He hopes to teach Atreus and make amends for his past. The trailer below is called Be A Warrior, and features Kratos and his son on their dangerous adventures together.
The gameplay and environment graphics look incredible. You will have a 360 degree camera and from the looks of it you have a variety of different moves that you will be able to preform to take down enemies. Kratos uses both weapons and magic powers to fight different types of enemies, most of which are based on creatures of Greek mythology. This God of War promises a much more mature tone than the previous games in the series. This one has a noticeably more serious tone as it follows an aging Kratos. Even though a lot of fans were hoping for a release date later this year the trailer confirms it wont be until early 2018 exclusively on PS4.
Now all we can do is wait for the games release date. I for one will be picking up a copy for myself. You have a good rest of the day.
